Securit:ee 1.3.5 Documentation

Installation

To install Securit:ee you follow the same steps as any other ExpressionEngine add-on:

  1. Unzip the download
  2. Upload the extracted folder to your ExpressionEngine third party folder usually located at:
    /system/expressionengine/third_party/
  3. Navigate to your Add-Ons management page and choose Modules
  4. Select Securit:ee from the list and click install.

When asked to activate the Extension, Module and Accessory, don't install the Accessory (that's installed through the File Monitor).

The Accessory is installed automatically through the File Monitor whenever a modification is found. Once the modifications have been cleared the Accessory is uninstalled. No worries if you install it with the rest of the add-on portions though. There are safeguards to clean up anything that isn’t according to plan.

File Monitor Scheduling

Securit:ee integrates seamlessly with Automat:ee or your systems own Cron to schedule out the file monitor scans.

To install within Automat:ee just create a new Cron job of the module type. Select Securit:ee from the module list and enter "file_monitor" for the method.

To install as a system Cron you'll have to naviate to the Securit:ee settings page once installation is complete to get a custom command to use. An example command is below but NOTE that it is only an example and nothing more.

wget "http://mithra62.com/?ACT=78" >/dev/null 2>&1

The schedule should, ideally, be around every 10 minutes but, depending on your system's size you may need to adjust accordingly.
